Organic Bytes Link Toxins in Your So-Called "Organic" Health & Beauty Products

Do you use Jason Pure, Natural & Organic, Avalon Organics, Kiss My Face ObsessivelyOrganic, Nature's Gate Organics, Stella McCartney 100% Organic, Giovanni Organic, Head Organics, Eminence Organic, Physicians Formula Organic Wear, Good Stuff Organics, Desert Essence Organics, or any "organic cosmetic" certified by Ecocert?

Hate to break it to you, but these so-called "organic" personal care products aren't really organic and actually contain hazardous ingredients that would never be allowed in products certified to USDA organic standards.

Yesterday, the Organic Consumers Association (OCA), along with certified organic personal care brands Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps, Intelligent Nutrients, and Organic Essence, filed a complaint with the USDA National Organic Program (NOP), requesting an investigation into the widespread and blatantly deceptive labeling practices of leading so-called "Organic" personal care brands, in violation of USDA NOP regulations.

The complaint, filed on behalf of the estimated 50 million regular consumers of organic products, argues that products such as liquid soaps, body washes, facial cleansers, shampoos, conditioners, moisturizing lotions, lip balms, make-up and other cosmetic products produced by 12 different corporations have been advertised, labeled and marketed as "Organic" or "Organics" when, in fact, the products are not "Organic" as understood by the average health and environmental-minded organic consumer.

The Table

Woke up to thoughts of family. Our children. How wonderfully different yet similar. My thoughts leapt to believers in Jesus. How similar yet how different. Mind images started to burst like fireworks in all directions. Jesus-Father-Spirit. All the same yet different. Josiah, Jesse, Emma, Jacob, Anna all from the same blood line-parents-different. ~~~Swoosh~~~ like a dammed up icy river exploding, words flood through.. Believers, Box, Family, Individual, Community, Denominations, Life, Lonely, Common, Home, Table, Warmth, Comfortable, Meals, Food, Stage, Rows......A projected image on a screen fills my minds eye. Our wonderfully beautiful grown children sitting around the only family table they have known. Instead of freely moving, touching and sharing the meal, as they are used to, they are greatly hindered. Each are wearing cardboard boxes with cut out holes for faces and arms to show and move. They can not turn easily in any direction. They bump and spill. Saddest of all, they can't see the brother or sister next to them, only the person directly across the table. The table is full of all the family favorite foods. Jesse can only see the mac-n-cheese, Josiah, just the sweet potatoes. They only see directly in front of them;not the whole table. I am aware that David and I are not wearing boxes. We can see each child, the entire table and kitchen. We can read sadness on each face. We feel their longing to see, hug, touch, and talk freely to one another. The longing to experience the family table, fill up on the bounty, enjoy each others quirkiness, to celebrate being family, different opinions and all that comes with it. That's what a loving caring family's does. Right? No constricting clumsy ugly man made boxes. Movement in the soft warm light of love that just let's a brother and/or sister be. Why? Because everyone at the table knows the ONE who created the idea of family and LOVE in the first place. Come pull up a chair. Let's move freely at the table.
