On the Fifty-Second Day of Summer

Quiet house. Morning sun streaming through the window. I turn and noticed how the filtered sunshine was touching my morning coffee.

Spent the day with a friend/fellow teacher from my first year of teaching days. We are talking 1979-1980, Winston-Salem-Forsyth County Schools. Enjoyed our day Deb!
veggie sandwiches for lunch on the back porch

OK... THIS CAKE...OH MY..a pound of blueberries in this pound cake-ish type of cake with a lemon cream cheese frosting and more blueberries on top.  So moist and TASTY!!!!

a toast to a long friendship
Just a few minutes before Deb left, David called us out to see this massive cloud.

It kept growing. So beautiful.
