Saturday Snow Day

What a delightful, wonderful day. A good 10+ inches an it's still pouring. The snow is so beautiful. Please indulge me with all the photos taken just outside our front and back door.

A quiet snowy winter's evening. This is what surrounds me. Soft, safe, quiet. Snow falling, the cling to the branches, Narnia type of snow just outside.

I REALLY Like Collard Greens

Collards. So good. Nutritional and part of who I am as a Southern woman.  As my Aunt Phyllis would say..." I ate a bait of them collards." Translated.... She ate alot of collards."  YUM!

Now , Cook'em up and serve with corn bread, sweet potatoes, black eyed peas, some beets, or home canned relish on the side.. One of the best foods this side of heaven.

This is Not For the Quick ~Thumbs Up~I Like~Response

Facebook... A way to keep up with family and friends scattered in different countries, states and towns. To see sweet faces so far away.  Able to "talk" and keep up.  This makes me smile.  I like the quick feedback.   The several times a day facebook check gives me a "quick satisfaction" of "sharing" me with others.  Nothing really deep just dots and tittles.  As a result of the quick fix, I don't spend time writing/journaling as I'd like.   I know blogging is public~ a variation on a theme of facebook.~ but with little more sustenance.  My original goal of blogging was to share me with my adult children.  To give them insight into the likes, dislikes, passions and quirkiness of their mom.  To have a written record with pictures, clippings, music, art, ideas. An online notebook with more facets than written word~even though I have some of those too.  I have spent too much time sharing "finds" on facebook  for the quick thumbs up like. The writing here may not be everyday, not as many readers as facebook, if any at all will ever read "a bountiful supply".  That's OK.
