You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there’s still going to be somebody who hates peaches.

Birthday Eve by the Creek

My daughter- in- law, Meredith knew how much I identified with this video Stick Twist Bread.  Please watch the video first. This is how my family recreated this for me on my 55th birthday. Thank you so much for such a rich evening. The following is a little long. Since it is my birthday... I can do this.
The fire is readied by Josiah . The table is prepared.

I am presented with this wonderful whole wheat bread dough.
I was doing one of my most favorite things in the world. The earth smell and touch of  home made bread dough. Best of all! Doing this by a creek.
I cried from joy rolling out the dough for our stick bread with Malachi and Selah.
We "baked" our bread over an open fire on sticks.
I wish you could smell this

Honey butter, dough ready for more sticks, some already baked

Bountiful

Marcus took much time with his bread. It was a piece of art.

Our wonderful dinner in the woods by the creek

My birthday homemade, hand pitted cherry, whole wheat pie sweeten with honey waits.

Malachi's bread is wrapped and ready.

What a restful sound

Daddy and daughter hanging over the creek.
Fun sitting on  a rock in the creek

The sun is setting. Our bellies are full...almost...there is that pie still waiting on by the creek.

My prayer as I blow out the candles.  Peace, joy, health, blessings to my family.

The family insisted I get some alone time swaying over the creek.  I was soon joined for some cuddle time. We covered ourselves with the sides of the hammock hid away and pretended to float.

I asked for the camera to catch my view from the creek as I swayed. You can tell from the blur.

What a way to end my 54th year and begin my 55th.
