Last Day of 2014 ~Present Moment

Oswald Chambers December 31st "...Let the past rest, but let it rest in the sweet embrace of Christ. Leave the broken, irreversible past in His hands, and step out into the invincible future with Him."

I have enjoyed every sunrise this week. The horizon changes so quickly from pale hues to a blast of orange-red-lavenders.

An hour after the sun erupts once again over the horizon, Linda and I have coffee (3 1/2 hours) at this local coffee shop in Surf City.  Very beachy and eclectic with coffee from a local roaster.

David and I kept "busy" reading, listening to music, treasure hunting, and just staring at the ocean leading up to the last sunset of this year.
It's a little cool and breezy~ we sit wrapped in our blankets watching the sky and water

From where we sit

A toast to the past year and to the new

The Lord of Creation has been faithful once again and I am grateful

Bread~Jumps~Friendship & Trivia

An overcast day. Paper grading and planning ahead.

Making bread while the crashing waves sing to me. Oh blessed soul satisfaction.

While the bread was on the second rise, we went out to watch and dodge the high tide.

David says to me...."let's jump!"

Come on....He tried to help me jump. I have never been a good jumper.. But it made for a good laugh.

Let's go in and see if the bread is ready to bake
The salt air mingled with fresh baked bread ~Sigh~

Our friends, Rick and Linda, invite us over for Trivia Night at Rick's.

We come out of our reclusive cocoon and head over to Rick's

To the side of our table
Our Trivia Night dinner dates. Been friends for over 30 years
We had to give our team a name.  Wanted something to represent our "growing up together" through our 20's-50's.... All of our sons have names that begin with J...thus, "J to the Sixth"

Captivated by the Creator

He is painting and we are captivated.

One of those moments...for no words....engulfed by creation

The sun rays were amazing. Zoomed in shot of the rays captured the brilliance of the sun behind the clouds

Absorbed by this most of the day.

Sunset time!

I guess this was a serious sunset moment
