And She/He Goes

Spaceship, Ship, Reading Perch, Lookout Tower, Hideout, Roof for Sandi and Oreo.

I hear this pounding from the back yard. I know David is doing yard and garden work. I look from the kitchen window to see what he is up to. The TREE HOUSE! I knew he was planning to take it down soon. I was emotionally taken by surprised. I ran and grabbed the camera. Gotta document a family monument coming down. So for our grown children, here is the play by play.

Recycled wood from a torn down deck used for the Davis tree house.

It was around 20 years ago that these same hands built this hide away.

Young at heart. Dark brown hair has turned to salt and pepper.

Hammer, pull, push, hammer some more. The tree house had become part of one of the trees.

The final blow

Love and work built this tree house for his children.

Aged and resting upright

I sure do love this man.

You Taught Me How to Zig-Zag

I picked Selah up from morning preschool at lunch

She finished up lunch resting and watching Olivia

She got a kiss after lunch

Teaching me how to zig -zag to help my knee

We went on a scavenger hunt to find all 10 types of clouds in the library.

We found ALL of them. So Selah chose a prize from the treasure chest. She ended up with a purple necklace.

Selah's big surprise..A  visit to see Papa at his school and to see his classroom. We had to go through security.

Papa's class room.

Papa shows her how to use the smart board

So many options

We had a wonderful time visiting Papa's school.
I really, truly enjoyed our date day. I want another date day soon.

You Asked me to Take Pictures of Your Bubbles

First "real" day of Spring. Bubbles searched out and found by Malachi. We blew bubbles. We bubble danced  most of the day waving wands in hand, arms flapping up and down, back and forth. Enjoyed lying in the sun. We'd run inside when we heard the oven timer beep to check our homemade bread and chocolate-chocolate chip cookies.  A very happy day. Oma is good tired.
