Lettuce and What a Man!

Yes. We have been eating salads. Most everyday. Thanks to my sweet husband.  We have red leaf, green leaf, spinach, Swiss chard, beet greens, asparagus, oregano, cilantro, chives already. They are and have been so good.
Made a salad tonight, added chick peas, beets to the mix. Last night it was tomatoes and cucumbers, celery. I am thankful. Oh~ did I mention we live in town on 1/3 of an acre, that is a hillside, on a city street?  David maxes out what yard we have in the sun for food and flowers. What a man!

Just a few of the garden beds with all sorts of vegetables growing

Selah and Malachi

It's been awhile and it was fun.

We used to "do" Oma Monday's. We played, cooked, played, imagined tons on Oma Monday's. We did this for about a year. It has been awhile since the two of you have come together for all day on a Monday like you used to. We had so much fun today. You were office workers, bankers, cooks, a princess, a butterfly, a dad, a mom, campers, and so much more. You ran and played in and out around Papa's garden. You told me what your favorite big sittin' rocks were. Malachi found a worm. Selah picked flowers. You blew lots and lots of bubbles. We made a chocolate cake together. You put the sauce and toppings on your pizza. It was hard to say good bye but you did with good attitudes. We were all happy today being together.
You found the dress up clothes

Selah puts on an old dance recital costume one of her aunts had in high school. Malachi finds a hat and butterfly wings.

Let's go outside.

The Princess and the Butterfly

Butterflys must eat nectar

I sat on the porch and watched you play.

Selah picks flowers

Malachi finds a worm

We must let the worm go into the shade and be safe

Selah gives Malachi the flowers she picked

Malachi stops to touch a butterfly He was so very gentle.

On to new adventures. Plus the hats are a little warm out side in the sun

Selah walking through Papa's garden.

Cozy on the little pop up cot. Quiet time.

You read and rested by the door so you could look up at the trees.

Your pizzas. Selah wanted green olive and cheese. Malachi wanted olive and hamburger.

Three of the five pizzas. The chocolate cake in the red dish and lettuce you helped pick from the garden.
