Sacrament of the Moment

The phrase "Sacrament of the Moment" floods my thoughts today. Moments as we all know make hours, days, weeks, months and years. A moment. A breath. Gone. BUT they all ADD UP. I have this spiritual bone ache to live the moments. To savor- like the rich smell of home baked bread, savor- like the open honest deep gaze of my grandchildren's transparent eyes, savor-the breath taking sunset that vanishes so quickly, savor-the wrinkled vein popped hand of my mama,... Savor the moments even in the hurts and confusion. Speak to myself life giving choices, focus on the rest given by the Spirit of Christ.

Happy to look back on this moment from the summer.

I like all the definitions but I'm dwelling on definition 4.

~Bye Finnegan and Emma~ Congratulations Ian ~

Ian passed! He graduates Ranger School this Friday! We have treasured the time with Emma and Finnegan while Ian was away. We are proud of Ian, Emma and Finn. I am happy that this little family will be together after three months of separation.

Time to say good bye. We go to Chipotle, one of mom's favorite fast foods, our last night in Boone. Then Papa lights the second advent candle before bed. Finn jingles his Christmas bells as we sing.

First stop to Georgia. Local Lion, for a box of fresh doughnuts for Ranger dad. Coffee for mama.

Let me show you how it's done, Finn.
(We at least got a few candles in the wreath, enough to light one while we sang caroles and to later blow out...just haven't had time to collect the greenery for the base.)
