The Last Days of Wildwood Lane #Twenty-One

David got to Nashville just before lunch time. Lunch on the porch....I noticed birds from my bedroom window...Finn took a short car ride adventure with us to a corner vegetable stand and to a car wash. David had to coax him away from the tractor. "Let's go find a pumpkin".. Finn wasn't so sure about the big red car wash robot at first. The rest of the drive home Finn talked about the big pumpkin and the robot car wash. A nice short, successful afternoon.

The Last Days of Wildwood Lane # Twenty

Where's Finn? He has gotten so quiet. Better go check. When I saw what he was doing I snuck back, got the camera and silently walked toward his room. Beautiful.

Finn loves to "read". He has memorized many pages in some of his books. Already a scholar.

The Last Days of Wildwood Lane # Nineteen

Beautiful day. Emma suggest lunch on the porch. We are sitting around the table, Finn is eating but playing up down, all around in his chair. His feet go through the back space of the chair. No problem, he's done that before. He stands there a minute or two playing some sort of make believe and supposedly eating. OK, time to get out of there. I try to pull him out, Emma tries to pull him out, We both try to pull him out. He's stuck. It's the diaper..( a thick cloth diaper) that's the problem. Emma goes to take off the that a poop I smell? is. So now we have a stuck two year old, with a poopie diaper that needs to come off. Emma tactically removes the diaper as I run for wipes. Now let's just pull him up and out.  No. Obviously Finn has grown  since he last stood between the back and seat of the porch chair. Emma kneels in front of Finn to pull the edge of the chair away from his waist as I pull straight up and gingerly as possible...There was a brief thought that we would have to cut him out.  Release...Up...Out and  a diaper change. Mother and Daughter team work. We did it... laughing. Another good memory made.

Mom! Where's your camera? Got to document what a day in the life Finn is like.
Diaper removal in process.

Sweet patient Finn. I think he was enjoying the sun.

Emma pushed down the seat as I stood behind and pulled.
Emma gave me permission to show a glimpse of today.  Thankfully, Finn wasn't in any danger, or pain.

The Last Days of Wildwood Lane # Eighteen

Today was a Go to Preschool Day.
Back pack ready

I stay behind with Eirlys while mom walks Finn inside.

I go inside to see his classroom. He doesn't know we are just outside the door watching him

Coming home. He had lots to say about his day. Especially about the scare crow he is making.

The Last Days of Wildwood Lane # Seventeen

Finnegan begins the day with mommie time.
Making muffins together.

Emma gives Finn an umbrella to pretend it's a boat and that he is floating down the river.  Sometimes he comes upon rapids....(Emma shaking and spinning the umbrella)

Captain Finnegan

Eirlys is changing so quickly.A couple more photos from my chin view

End of the day. A glimpse from the upstairs hall way on my way to bed. My daughter and grand daughter.

The Last Days of Wildwood Lane # Sixteen

Waiting for the garbage truck and workers is pretty exciting stuff at 7:30 am.

Bye Bye....Thank You

We hang out for a little on Oma's big bed, lie on our backs and sing songs together

Finn is really interested in this new hat, head dress, head lamp what ever it is, he wants to try one on too.

A wonderful helper

Enjoyed cooking from Emma's healthy fridge and pantry. Onions, roasted red peppers, olives, artichoke hearts saute, over roasted spaghetti squash, grilled organic spinach-red pepper chicken sausages, on the side a spring mix salad with other vegetable toppings. Good eating.
